Zeta Upsilon Chapter

Celebrating 20 years at Northern Michigan

About Us

Alpha Gamma Delta is an International Women’s Fraternity. Our chapter currently has 27 amazing women! We are very involved with favorite NMU campus events like Homecoming and Winterfest, as well as activities that give back to the community like Relay for Life and Make a Difference Days. We participate in Younker’s Community Day to raise funds for the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation - our main Philanthropy. We attend formals put on by NMU Greek Council, and have our own formal, Red Rose, in November. We are an active member in NMU’s PanHellenic Council.

Our sisterhood is a “home away from home” type of family. We plan meals together, many of us live together, we take classes together and much more! Our majors and programs are diverse but come together in the ideals our Founders set for us. Self improvement, philanthropy and education are a few of our focus areas. Members are required to maintain a 2.3 GPA to both join and hold a position in the Fraternity. We have many social activities throughout the semester and attend campus events like concerts and speakers such as “The Dating Doctor.” We believe in a balance between work and play. Although we are the largest sorority on NMU’s campus, we get to know each of our sisters on a personal level so that we really are both friends and family.
